2373 Robinwood

2373 Robinwood was designed by A. Burnside Sturges and built in 1892 at a cost of $7,000.  The 1896, 1900 and 1910 Polk city directories listed Isaiah Cartwright as the resident.  His occupation was noted to be a nurseryman.  Charles Cartwright boared here in those years.  Charlotte Dickinson, the widow of Richard Dickinson, lived here in 1896.  The domestic in 1896 was Sophia Meyers, while Elizabeth Gensmann was in 1900.  The 1918 and the 1921 directories listed James Anderson as the occupant of this home.  Mr. Anderson was the secretary and treasurer of the Morgan-Anderson Company.
