2252 Parkwood

2252 Parkwood was constructed in 1910 and was the home of Mrs. Marietta McCaskey and family, the widow of Fred who had drowned in a canoe accident on the Maumee River.  Mr. McCaskey, formerly of 2717 Collingwood, was involved in real estate development with his father.  His biography and photograph appeared in Memoirs of Lucas County and the City of Toledo on page 111.  Their children included Robert and Ruth.  The 1921 city directory listed the occupants as Walter Terhune along with Alice Terhune, a roomer, and their live-in domestic Mary Black.
