2521 Parkwood is strikingly similar in appearance to 2461 Glenwood Avenue.  It was built in 1905.  John William Banting and his wife Anna Jane (Ferris) lived in this home according to the 1910 Polk City Directory.  Mr. Banting was President of the Banting Manufacturing Company, agriculture manufacturing, located at 2979 Dorr Street (renumbered 2375).  A photograph of Mr. Banting and his biography may be viewed in the book Toledo & Lucas County Vol. 3 on page 58.
