Another jewell in the neighborhood is this home at 2514 Parkwood Avenue.  This photograph shows how it looked in 1937.  The 1910 Polk City Directory listed Edward Mechler as the resident who died on April 21, 1910 at the age of 39.  The live-in domesitc at that time was Josephine Karmol.  His wife, Ada, continued to live in the house along with Louis who was a Division of Health inspector in 1918 and Ruth.
