Built in 1903, the home at 536 Acklin Avenue was home to Rushmore Sawyer according to the 1910, 1918, 1921 and 1924 city directories.  His occupation was never listed in any of those addresses and no wife was mentioned.  The 1918 directory listed Kate Sawyer as a roomer here.  The 1920 Census indicated that Kate was his sister.  Mr. Sawyer passed away in 1939.
