Nathaniel Goldman's home at No. 18 Birckhead Place is a "Mehring-Built Home".  The Carl E. Mehring Company designed and built this home using the Toledo Mantel & Tile Company of 118 Huron Street to provide the bath tiles and mantels for the home.  The wiring was the work of the Eggleston Brothers of 1045 Alcott Avenue.
