The 1918 Polk City Directory listed Catherine Schlingman as the resident of 2524 Scottwood.  She was the secretary and treasurer of the American Plumbers Supply Company.  Her husband Henry Schlingman was the president of the same business who also resided here.  The house was additonally home to Karl Senf who was a credit manager with the company.
