2260 Scottwood was built around 1897 and was home to Dean Manley who moved here from 2127 Jefferson.  The 1900 Polk City Directory listed Mr. Manley as a cashier at the Home Savings Bank Company.  Laura Mosher was the live-in domestic in 1900.  The 1910 directory listed Marion Miller, a second vice=president of the same bank, but by the 1921 listing Mr. Miller had become the president of the Home Savings Bank.  The directory listed Rose Van Patter as the cook in 1910.
