Mills, Rheinhart & Bellman designed the house at 2267 Robinwood, built in 1897.  The 1900 Polk City Directory listed the resident of this home as Edward Gardiner of Graves and Gardiner.  Dr. Gardiner's biography may be read in Maumee Valley, Toledo and the Sandusky Region Vol. 3 on page 53.  His wife was Alice (Bentley) Gardiner.  The Gardiners' name last appeared in the 1911 directory while Maurice Allen's name appeared in the 1912 directory.  The 1921 city directory listed Maurice Allen whose biography appeared in Toledo & Lucas County Vol. 3 on page 45.
