The 1911 Polk City Directory had no listing for 2743 Parkwood.  It first appeared in the 1912 city directory as the home of Fred Fritts.  Mr. Fritts was with the Tiedtke Brothers Company.  The 1918 Polk City Directory listed Burton Jamieson as the occupant of the home at 2743 Parkwood.  Oscar Barringer was listed in the 1921 directory.  Mr. Barringer was the sales manager at the DeVilbiss Manufacturing Company.  Sarah Barringer and John Barringer both roomed here in 1921.
