Alfred Merrell, the vice-president of the Merrell Buggy, Implement and Seed Company, lived at 626 Acklin Avenue in 1900.  Otho Thomas was the next occupant according to the 1910 directory.  Otho's wife was Mary Thomas and their son George Thomas lived with his parents.  Alex MacDonald and his wife Hazel MacDonald lived here in 1918, 1921 and 1924.  Mr. MacDonald was an advertising manager of the Cheney Medicine Company located at 1220 Adams.
