2317 Glenwood (left) remains virtually unchanged on its exterior while the home at 2323 Glenwood has undergone extensive remodeling. The empty lot to the right of 2323 is the site where 2327 Glenwood stands today in 2011 while the house to the far right in this photo is 2333 Glenwood.  2317 Glenwood was home to physician William Dickey in 1910 and the family domestic that year was Elsie Swank.  The 1896 Polk City Directory listed Charles Barnes as the resident but by 1900, the new occupants were lawyer Clifford Whitmore and Eliza Gillette, the widow of Benjamin, boarded.
