2238 Glenwood

2238 Glenwood, a duplex, was designed by Harry Wachter and built in 1917 on lot #8 of the Glenwood Addition.  The 1921 city directory listed Mary Wolcott, the widow of Joseph, as the occupant.  2240 Glenwood was home to Ephraim Fifer according to both the 1918 and the 1921 city directories.  Records indicate that an earlier house stood on this site.  The 1896 and 1900 city directories listed 2240 Glenwood as the home of Frank Harris, the president of Harris Toy Company.  That address disappeared from directories such as 1910 and 1911.
