The Lucas County Auditor's records listed 2564 Glenwood as being built in 1912.  The 1911 Polk City Directory did not list this address.  Both the 1918 and the 1921 city directories listed Charles Schroeder who was the secretary of the C. H. Schroeder Company, a planing mill at 399 S. Erie.  By the time that the 1924 directory was published, Mr. Schroeder had passed away.  Lillian Schroeder, his widow, still lived here.
