1901 Collingwood_1921

The first land light was erected at the end of Jefferson Avenue where it ended at 1901 Collingwood in early 1921.  The location was the site of numerous accidents when unsuspecting motorists would fail to stop at Collingwood and would continue up the driveway of 1901.  The Wilson family who lived in the mansion felt the land light was unnecessary since no accidents had occurred after white stakes were drive into the curb.  The residents of the house found the day and night blinking light annoying.
