David Stine designed this brownstone which may have been located at 501 Stickney Avenue in Vistula.  According to both the 1891 and 1900 Polk City Directories, Stine lived at 501, while David Gibbs lived at 509 Stickney.  Their names appear in an 1883 magazine along witjh an architectural rendering of this double house.
