2129 Madison-Burdick Home

The home of Leander Burdick of the Union Savings Bank was located at 2129 Madison Ave. His son Frank, 19, died in a hunting accident in 1906.  From the 1940s until his death in 1965 Ora Smith operated his antique and cabinet-making business here.  The private Anthony Wayne Club shared the building in the early 60s. This home was demolished in 1966 after a $19,000 fire caused by faulty wiring.  The mansion at that time was the Twenties night club.
