The 1907 Polk City directory listed Lyman Wachenheimer as the resident of 17 Bronson Place.  William Bergin, the vice-president of the Southworth Rice Grain Company, resided here according to the 1910 and 1911 city directories.  The 1910 Census also listed his wife Corinne and children Alexander, William and Martha.  Agnes Hertzburg was the family's live-in domestic.  The 1912 directory listed this address as vacant.  Willard Brown, the secretary for the Shaw-Kendall Engineering Company, lived here in 1918 through 1921.  Willard M. Brown, an inspector, roomed here then.  Widow Mary Brown still lived here in 1924.
