Located on the southeast corner of Summit and Monroe was the wholesale and retail company of Bostwick-Braun Company established in 1855.  A 1910 advertisement listed hardware, sporting goods, mill supplies, machinists' tools and carpenters' tools as their merchandise for sell.   Here is a postcard of the building decked out for the GAR convention.
