The 1910 Polk City Directory listed James Foor who was in real estate as the resident of 2914 Scottwood Avenue. The 1911 directory listed Mrs. Bertha Thompson.   Both the 1918 and 1921 city directories listed Arthur Whyte whose occupation in 1918 was the chief probation officer with the Juvenile Court and in 1921 was an agent with the Northwest Mutual Life Insurance Company.  Helen Whyte, a teacher in the public school system, roomed here in those years.
