2548 Scottwood

2548 Scottwood was constructed in 1906 by George Lathrop for $3500.  The house in 1910 was home to Andrew Hunker who was a special agent with the Travelers Insurance Company.  John Hunker boarded in the home.  The Hunker's live-in domestic was Elizabeth Nagel that year.  By the time the 1918 directory was published, Lewis Maxwell was the resident of this home.  Dr. Maxwell, a physician, had an office in the Close Realty Building.
