2225 Scottwood

2225 Scottwood was built in 1892 with the heating (#2867) altered in 1924.  The 1896 Polk City Directory listed the resident of this mansion as Frank Coleman who was in the lumber business.  That same year Hettie Bowers, a proofreader, boarded here. The 1900 directory listed Harry Wood, a merchandise broker.  Both the 1910 and 1921 directories listed Charles Parsons, both listing his occupation as general agent with the Northwestern Mutual Live Insurance Company.  In 1910, the Parsons' live-in maid was Anna Zahm.  The 1921 directory included Susan Parsons, the widow of Romayn, as a roomer.
