2455 Scottwood

2455 Scottwood was constructed around 1910.  The architectural firm of Mills, Rhinehart & Bellman (#1642) were instrumental in its planning.  The 1918 Polk City Directory listed Abraham Koch, the vice-president of the La Salle & Koch Company. The 1921 directory revelaed that his widow Sophia Koch still resided here with the help of live-in domestic Annie Collon.  The 1935 city directory listed Eben Moon who was president of the Toledo Standard Communicator Company.  His biography may be read in Toledo & Lucas County Vol. 2 on page 267.  His wife was Florence (Hooker) Moon.
