The home of John W. Myers, 2125 Scottwood Avenue, is next door to the Browning house.  It was built in 1898 when Mr. Myers was the secretary of the National Union Senate.  The 1900 Polk City Directory shows that Theodosia Myers was now a widow.  Her live-in domestic was Regina Meister.
