2734 Scottwood was built in 1909.  The 1910 Polk City Directory shows bookkeeper Phillip Schilling as the resident of this house.   Charles Doan and wife Emma (Schurtz) were the residents according to both the 1918 and 1921 Polk city directories.  He was the president and general manager of the Doan Motor Company.  His biography and personal photograph appeared in Toledo & Lucas County Vol. 2 on page 576.
