2627 Scottwood

Home to George and Caroline Lathrop between 1908 and 1910, 2627 Scottwood was built in 1908. Under construction, the home had a $1200 fire.  At the time, Mr. Lathrop was the assistant superintendent of the post office.  Charles Messinger lived here in 1911, while Paul Rudd resided here in 1912.  The 1918 Polk City Directory listed Harry Chiesa as the resident while in 1921, Louis Roma whose business was real estate, became the occupant.  In 1929, Arthur and Florence (Biggs) Langenderfer were the residents of 2627.  Mr. Langenderfer was a general contractor.  His biography appeared in Maumee Valley, Toledo and the Sandusky Region Vol. 3 on page 359.
