2056 Scottwood-Julius Lamson Home
 
Julius Lamson, formerly of 1216 Jefferson, hired David L. Stine to design this Georgian Revival house.  Constructed in 1905, the mansion is located at 2056 Scottwood Avenue at Floyd Street.  Mr. Lamson was president of the Lamson Brothers Company and his full biography appeared in Toledo & Lucas County Vol. 2 on page 539.  According to the 1910 Polk City Directory, Pauline Kettler and Rose Deymann were employed as domestics by Mr. Lamson and his wife Katherine (Tracy).  The house remained in the Lamson family unitl 1972.
