2611 Robinwood-Fred Gibson Home

Here is a vintage postcard view of the home at the corner of Robinwood Avenue and Islington Street.  The March 12, 1909 issue of the Toledo News-Bee reported that the paving of Robinwood between Islington and Nessle was let to the Asphalt Block Paving Company for the sum of $12, 867.10.  2611 Robinwood was built in 1910 at the cost of $15,000.  Its resident in 1911 was Fred Gibson.  The 1912 and 1918 city directory listed the resident as Theodore McManus, the 1925 directory listed Lyle Hubbard, while the 1935 directory listed attorney Richard and Florence (Durflinger) Logan.  Mr. Logan's biography can be read in Toledo & Lucas County Vol. 3 on page 393.
