3218 Parkwood

3218-20 Parkwood Avenue was the scene of a roof fire in 1937 caused by high winds carrying embers from the initial blaze at 3239 Collingwood.  It was one of five other homes which caught fire on March 14, 1937.  The May 15 edition of the Toledo News-Bee reported that Miss Mildred Sick was in the downstairs unit at the time of the roof fire.  3220 was the home of William Collins, a salesman, in 1918 while Fred Siek, the treasurer of the Ohio Conserving Company, lived here in 1921.
