The 1918 Polk City Directory listed A. Gideon Spieker, the treasurer of the H. J. Spieker  Company, as the occupant at 2835 Parkwood.  Mr. Spieker's biography appeared in Toledo & Lucas County Vol. 3 on apge 519.  His wife was Angela (McDonough) Spieker.  William Erler of the Modern Pattern Works was listed as the resident of this house in 1921.
