2154 Parkwood-Bishop Home
 
The Bishop Home at 2154 Parkwood around 1915.  It was designed by local architect Harry Wachter and built around 1907 by carpenter contractor Cornelius Hull at a cost of $9,500.  George Bishop had an office in the Nicholas Building.  According to the 1910 Polk City Directory, his family employed Anna Williams as the live-in domestic.  The 1921 city directory listed Clinton Mauk, president of the C. A. Mauk Lumber Company, as the resident.  His biography appeared in Toledo & Lucas County Vol. 3 on page 267.  His wife was Mabel (Scrafford) Mauk.
