The Lucas County Auditor's records listed the construction year of 537 Tennyson Place as 1912.  The 1918 city directory listed the occupant of 537 Tennyson Place as Harry Jeannin whose occupation was not listed.  Walter Scheuerman, a salesman with the Ringold-Baer Realty Company, lived here with his wife Henrietta Scheuerman in 1921.  By 1924 Mrs. Scheuerman who still lived at this address was listed as a widow.
