The Lucas County Auditor's records listed the construction year of 531 Tennyson Place as 1911.  The 1918, 1921 and 1924 city directories listed the resident at 531 Tennyson Place as William Jacobs, a clerk with R. M. S.  His wife was Edith Jacobs.
