The house at 619 Stratford was built in 1912 at a cost of $6,000 by builder A. J. Casten.  The 1913, 1918, 1921 and 1924 city directories listed Morris Tobias, the manager at Stein's, as the occupant of this house.  His wife was Eva Tobias.
