2849 Rockwood Place
 

2849 Rockwood Place, originally Parkwood Place, was constructed by contractor George Lathrop in 1915 for $3500.  It was home to John Hackett according to the 1918, 1921 and 1924 city directories.  Judge Hackett was an attorney with Hackett & Lynch.  Mr. Hackettt's biography appeared in Toledo & Lucas County Vol. 2 on page 193 and the Maumee Valley, Toledo and the Sandusky Region Vol. 4 on page 113.  Additionally, his image appeared in the group photograph entitled "Bar and Bench Toledo Ohio 1926".  His wife was Irene (Sawkins) Hackett.  Children Jane Hackett, Dorothy Hackett and John Hackett Jr. all roomed here.
