The 1907 Polk Toledo Directory listed the resident of this home as William B. Chapman.  He was the superintendent of the Toledo Pharmacal Company which his father Dr. William C. Chapman incorporated in 1903.  The business office and laboratory was located at 224-28 Jackson Street.
