856 Nesslewood Avenue

The 1911 and 1918 listed Catherine Dettinger, the widow of Andrew Dettinger, as the resident of 856 Nessel Street.  Henry Dettinger, a special delivery messenger for the Post Office,  boarded here as well as Edward Dettinger, a coremaker.  The 1924 directory listed Edward Dettinger, a manager, and Henry Dettinger, a roomer who worked as a messenger for the post office, as occupants of this house.  The September 12, 1932 issue of the Toledo News-Bee reported that a search for missing fishermen included Henry Dettinger, 46, and his nephew Charles Holland who also lived at 856 Nesslewood.
