According to the Polk city directories, George and Caroline Lathrop were residents of 2372 Lawrence from 1896 until 1900.  The 1910 Polk City Directory listed Mollie Swann, the widow of William Swann, as the resident of this house.  Mrs. Swann was a district agent for the Equitable Life Insurance Company of Iowa.
