2267 Ashland-Kelly Home
 
This was the Kelly Home as seen in this photograph from 1930 , the year it was demolished.  The mansion was located at 2267 Ashland Avenue.  In the 1891 Polk City Directory it was home to George Barnes, the vice-president of the Manhattan Oil Company.  Mr. Barnes would live at 2939 Collingwood in 1896 when grocer Henry Coleman appeared as the occupant of 2267.  The 1910 directory listed Theophilus Brown who was in real estate with his office at 212 St. Clair.
