The 1896 and 1900 city directories listed Walter Harpen, an operator with the Western Union Telegraph Company, as the resident of 620 Acklin Avenue.  His wife was Margurite and his children were Howard and Grace Harpen.  The 1918, 1921 and 1924 directories listed James David and Louise David as the occupants.  In 1918 Mr. David was the department manager of the Delco which sold light products and in 1921 he was a salesman for the Thomas Cusack Company.
