Raymond J Whelan (1914-95) snapped this photograph of 2452-54 Maplewood in the early 1950s.  His family of seven lived in the downstairs while the upstairs provided an rental income.  Mr. Whelan was a timekeeper for Bentley Construction.   The Whelans lived here from 1946 until 1954, renting it until the 1980s.  Unfortunately, it burned in 1998.
