2139 Glenwood
 
Julia Comstock, the widow of Apollos Comstock, resided at 2139 Glenwood according to the 1891 Polk City Directory.  That same year, Emily Bouton who was the literary and household editor of the Blade, also was listed as a resident along with Almina Bouton, the widow of Daniel Bouton.  Also, from the 1891 through the 1900 city directories student Harry Halstead boarded here.   In 1896, Clarence Halsted boarded at widow Comstock's home.  His name also appeared as a boarder here in 1900.  The live-in domestics included Bertha Betow (1891),  Bertha Highland (1896), Sophie Oblinger (1900), and maid Daisy Marriott (1910).
