The 1896 and 1900 Polk city directories listed Arthur Mills, the vice-president of the Paddock-Hodge Company, as the resident and Anna Zimmerman was the live-in domestic.  By the publication of the 1910 city directory, the occupant was Negley Cochran, the editor of the Toledo News-Bee along with wife Nettie, sons Harold, Frank and Donald Cochran and daughters Dorothy and Martha Cochran.  Also, their married daughter Rugh Cochran Monett and her husband Chauncy Monett lived here.  Caroline Shafer was the live-in servant in 1910.  The heating system was altered (#2847) in 1924 for this home.
