According to the 1910 Polk City Directory, Sol LaSalle lived here.  The 1910 Census also listed his wife Frances and their daughter Amy.  Mr. LaSalle was the treasurer of the LaSalle & Koch Company.  His live-in domestics that year were Anna Norwalk and Emma Schumacher.  The 1918 directory listed Edward Herzog who owned a wholesale liquor business at 116 Summit which gave employment to his children, Myra and Stanley.  The 1921 directory listed Carlton Baumgardner whose biography appeared in Toledo & Lucas County Vol. 3 on page 26.
