The imposing Horton Rorick house was on the west side of Collingwood Boulevard between Virginia and Bancroft.  The 1918 Polk City Directory listed Mr. Rorick as the resident of 2263 Collingwood.   Horton and his wife Marie lived here with their two sons, Marven and Ceilan Rorick according to the 1920 Census.   The daughter Alice was not living here in 1920.  Their servants included two Ireland-born women, Mary Bruen and Mary Ohara.
