2729 Collingwood

2729 Collingwood was once the address of Mary Kent, the widow of Charles Kent. The 1889 directory listed Mary Kent and her children Edith Kent, lawyer Charles E. Kent and Eliza Kent, an assistant librarian.  That property was demolished and the house addresses renumbered.  The home seen here was constructed in 1904.  Thomas and Delia Marlowe lived here according to the 1910-1921 city directories.  He started as a creditman with the Citizens' Ice and Cold Storage Company and became the secretary of the company by 1921.  The 1920 Census also lised his sister-in-law Nellie Whelan as a resident.
