2056 Parkwood
 
General building contractor Joseph Pheils was rewarded a contract for the construction of a $12,500 home for Harry Leeper at 2056 Parkwood in 1904.  The home was constructed by 1907.  Clara Kitchen served as the Leeper's live-in domestic according to the 1910 Polk City Directory.  Joshua Vogel, the president of the Gendron Wheel Company, occupied this house according to the 1912 Polk City Directory and still lived here in 1921.  His son James was a salesman for his father's business.
