2024 Parkwood was constructed around 1887.  The 1891 Polk City Directory listed Jason Barber of Parks and Barber as the resident.  The 1900 directory listed Mr. Barber as the judge of the Court of Common Pleas.  Mr. Barber's image can be seen in the group photograph entitled "Bar and Bench Toledo Ohio 1926".  Ira Barber was the wife of Jason A. Barber  John Barber and student Morris Barber boarded here in 1910, while Alice and Helen Barber were listed as students that same year.  The 1891 and 1900 directories listed Mary Driscoll as the live-in domestic.
