Built around 1899, the mansion at 2041 Glenwood was home in 1910 to Anson Argue, an oil producer.  The house was altered (#1240) in 1904 with the plans drawn up by the architectural firm of Mills, Rheinhart & Bellman.  Mr. Argue continued to live in the home employing Louisa Raddatz as his live-in domestic.  His employment in later years was listed as the vice-president of the Ohio Wrecking Company.  The property was listed as vacant in 1912.  In 1918 and 1921 city directories, Herbert Hood was also listed as resident and the treasurer of Ohio Wrecking.
