The 1900 Polk City Directory listed Albert Eppstein as the resident along with numerous relatives.  Merton Eppstein was a clerk at the Merchants' National Bank; Albert Eppstein;  May Eppstein;  Mrs. Laura Mussbacker; Oscar Mussbacker, a traveling agent;  Fredericka Roemer, the widow of Joseph Roemer; live-in domestics Ella Smith and Julia Cook.  The 1918 city directory listed John Lewis Jr., the president of the Lion Dry Goods Store, as the resident.  Angelus Claus was listed as the occupant in the 1921 directory along with Mary Fox, a live-in domestic that year.
